Comfort-wise, the Centuro offers a well-padded, spacious seat suitable for both solo riders and pillion passengers, complemented by a riding stance that favors ease of handling in urban traffic and moderate highway rides. The 2025 Mahindra Centuro is a 106.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled motorcycle that combines modern styling with practical engineering for the Indian market. Powered by an engine generating 8.5PS at 7500rpm and 8.5Nm torque at 5500rpm through a 4-speed transmission, it delivers a balanced blend of performance and efficiency. The bike features a hybrid digital-analog instrument cluster displaying speed, RPM, fuel level, and trip information with excellent readability. I found the design particularly appealing with its muscular styling, golden ribs, and modern appearance available across multiple color options including black, red, and silver. The 126kg kerb weight and comfortable seating arrangement make it accessible to a wide range of riders, while the underseat storage provides practical everyday utility. The drum brake configuration with engine immobilizer and stylish flip key enhance both safety and convenience aspects. Available in multiple variants including the NXT variant with disc brake option, the Centuro caters to diverse customer preferences while maintaining its reputation as a reliable, comfortable, and fuel-efficient daily commuter motorcycle for Indian roads.

Our Verdict

Expert opinion and recommendation

The Mahindra Centuro delivers a compelling package for Indian commuters seeking a reliable and efficient daily ride. It impresses with its solid build quality, including well-finished panels and a high-quality paint job that withstands urban wear and tear. The blend of a partially digital instrument cluster and ergonomic seating caters to both city traffic navigation and longer rides comfortably. Its 106.7cc engine produces a respectable 8.5 PS of power, offering smooth and responsive performance, although power delivery can feel a bit peaky, especially in higher gears on inclines. The handling is nimble and balanced, making it easy to maneuver through traffic. Practical features like under-seat storage and an engine immobilizer enhance convenience and security. While the styling stands out with muscular accents and a modern design, some might find aesthetic elements like the golden ribs unconventional. Overall, it offers good value through a balance of performance, comfort, and practicality, making it a noteworthy contender in the commuter bike segment.
December 6, 2025
After examining the 2025 Mahindra Centuro, I find it to be a remarkably well-balanced commuter motorcycle that delivers excellent value for money in the Indian market. The bike impressed me with its refined engine performance, smooth power delivery, and impressive build quality that rivals motorcycles in higher price brackets. I was particularly pleased with the attention to detail in panel fitment and paint quality, which suggests Mahindra has invested significantly in manufacturing standards. The comfortable riding position and well-padded seat make it suitable for both daily city commutes and longer weekend rides, while the balanced handling characteristics inspire confidence even in congested traffic conditions. The practical touches like underseat storage and the hybrid digital-analog instrument cluster that remains readable in bright sunlight demonstrate thoughtful engineering. However, I must note that the power delivery is somewhat peaky, which affects tractability on inclines and top gear performance. The refinement could have been superior, with some vibration trickling into the handlebars and footpegs during extended rides. Despite these minor shortcomings, the Centuro represents a compelling proposition for budget-conscious buyers seeking a reliable, fuel-efficient daily rider with respectable build quality and comfort credentials. I would recommend this motorcycle to anyone prioritizing value and practicality over raw performance.

Price

Pricing details and changes

In India, the Mahindra Centuro is priced attractively at around Rs. 51,000 to Rs. 55,000 ex-showroom, depending on the city and variant. The on-road price, which includes road tax, insurance, and registration fees, typically climbs to approximately Rs. 54,000 to Rs. 58,000 in metro cities like Bangalore, Delhi, and Mumbai. This competitive pricing positions the Centuro well against rivals offering similar engine power and features. Mahindra’s pricing strategy targets budget-conscious buyers who want dependable performance without sacrificing features like LED tail lamps and a quality instrument cluster. The inclusion of a 5-year warranty further sweetens the deal, providing peace of mind over its lifespan. From a value perspective, the Centuro is one of the better-equipped options in the 110-125cc commuter segment for this price, offering a solid feature set and reasonable running costs.
December 6, 2025
The ex-showroom price of the Mahindra Centuro starts at approximately Rs 43,250, while the on-road price in India ranges between Rs 53,660 to Rs 55,660 depending on your location and applicable taxes. The price variance between ex-showroom and on-road reflects registration, insurance, and road tax components that vary across different Indian states. From my perspective as an automotive reviewer, I believe this pricing strategy positions the Centuro as an extremely competitive offering in the 100-110cc commuter segment. The on-road pricing is particularly attractive when you consider the five-year warranty and the overall package of features offered. I have observed waiting periods extending up to 45 days in certain regions, which speaks to the bike's market acceptance and demand. The pricing reflects Mahindra's commitment to delivering quality without premium positioning, making it accessible to the average Indian commuter while maintaining reasonable profit margins. The on-road cost is justifiable given the superior build quality, refined engine, and comfort features that I experienced during my evaluation.

Mileage

Fuel efficiency information

The Mahindra Centuro's mileage is a major draw for the Indian buyer, delivering an impressive ARAI-certified figure of around 79-85 kmpl under ideal riding conditions. This outstanding fuel efficiency translates to very low running costs, which is critical for daily commuters conscious of fuel expenses. Even in mixed city and highway use, real-world mileage tends to remain in the high 70s to low 80s kmpl, making this bike economical to own and operate over time.
December 6, 2025
The Mahindra Centuro delivers an impressive ARAI-tested fuel economy ranging between 79.4 to 85.4 kmpl, making it exceptionally economical for daily commuting in India. I found this mileage figure to be highly practical for real-world usage, particularly for city riding where the bike's smooth power delivery helps optimize fuel consumption. The fuel efficiency positions the Centuro among the most economical options in its category, translating to minimal running costs over extended ownership periods. For a buyer concerned about operational expenses, this motorcycle offers substantial long-term savings potential, with minimal fuel expenses even at current petrol prices across India.
