Tata Curvv Series X from ₹9.99 lakh: variants, prices and buyer guide

The Tata Curvv Series X petrol-and-diesel range has launched in India with prices starting at ₹9.99 lakh ex-showroom. The September 3, 2026 update reorganises the SUV-coupé into six core variants and changes how equipment is distributed across the range. The entry price applies to the Smart X petrol manual; it is not the price of an automatic or of the separate Curvv.ev.

Which Curvv Series X prices matter first?

The reported range extends to ₹18.99 lakh ex-showroom. Before comparing equipment, choose the required engine and transmission: the advertised entry car and an automatic occupy different price points.

These are selected launch-price references, not a full quotation for every combination. Registration, insurance and the final purchase package need to be checked separately in a written dealer quote.

Six variants, different equipment priorities

The core ladder comprises Smart X, Pure X, Pure X Plus, Creative X Plus, Accomplished X and Accomplished X Plus. A feature shown in a top-spec photograph should not be assumed to appear on the entry car.

• Smart X: the entry point, with six airbags, LED lighting and 17-inch Aero Style wheels among its listed equipment.

• Pure X: focuses on everyday convenience, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity, automatic climate control and keyless entry/start.

• Pure X Plus: adds leatherette upholstery and 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

• Creative X Plus: brings a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, digital cockpit and 18-inch alloy wheels.

• Accomplished X: adds features such as Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat and the larger premium audio/infotainment package.

• Accomplished X Plus: adds a powered gesture-controlled tailgate and sits at the top of the revised line-up.

Engine and gearbox choice comes before the badge

The Curvv retains the 1.2-litre Revotron turbo-petrol, 1.2-litre Hyperion direct-injection turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engine families. The revised combinations are important: the Hyperion option is paired with a DCT in the top Accomplished X Plus, while the lower petrol range offers manual and DCT choices on applicable variants. Check the exact combination instead of assuming that every engine is available with every trim.

For a useful test drive, choose the engine and gearbox being considered for purchase. A drive in a different powertrain may help assess visibility and seating, but cannot settle how the intended version responds in traffic.

Which variants get a Dark edition?

Dark availability extends to Pure X Plus, Creative X Plus, Accomplished X and Accomplished X Plus. The plain Pure X is not part of that list. Compare the Dark version with its corresponding regular trim before deciding whether the appearance package is worth the price difference.

What to check before choosing a variant

Start with a short list of equipment that will be used regularly. Then compare the lowest trim that supplies it with the next step up, using the same engine and gearbox. This avoids paying for a larger package simply because a higher variant has the longest feature list.

During a family test drive, check rear-seat access, headroom, seating comfort and the luggage space needed for typical trips. Ask the dealer to put the exact variant name, model year, equipment, on-road price and delivery commitment in writing. That is particularly useful while a revised range and older stock may appear in quotations together.
