I find the Maybach Xenatec Coupe to be a rare, indulgent statement car that marries Maybach’s bespoke luxury with coupe flair; behind the wheel it delivers overwhelming V12 power, effortless straight-line speed and an opulent, limousine-like cabin that isolates occupants from the world, but the package is brutally uncompromising for everyday use in India — its immense size, heavy kerb weight and thirst for fuel make it impractical for city traffic and tight parking, while maintenance, spares and insurance costs will remain exceptional; if I wanted an ultra-luxury, low-volume halo cruiser for occasional long-distance runs and image, this is intoxicating, but for a buyer prioritising daily usability, running costs or dealer support in India, it’s a niche collector’s purchase rather than a sensible daily driver.
