What makes the Pulsar AS250 different from the previous AS200?

The Pulsar AS250 is a spiritual successor to the discontinued AS200 model. Although both bikes feature a similar 'adventure sports' styling, the AS250 has a larger displacement engine along with new features. Those riders who had owned or rode on the AS200 have been discussing the differences and improvements of the new model. These changes include power delivery, handling, comfort on long rides, and the over all build quality. In addition, there is interest in how the AS250 corrects the AS200 shortcomings and whether it justifies the higher price. The discussion often arises among enthusiasts to discuss the evolutionary step of Bajaj in the adventure category bikes and whether the AS250 is a justified upgrade for AS200 owners.

The larger AS250 fuel tank is a game changer for touring. More fuel stops like on the AS200, no more.

I just wish they kept the projector headlamps from the AS200. The AS250 LED doesn’t seem as effective.

AS250's suspension is a huge improvement. Much more comfortable on long rides and rough roads.

In the city, I had more fun on the AS200. The AS250 is a bit heavy for tight traffic.

The AS250 is built much better. In the end it just feels like a more premium bike.

I wish the AS200 had a little more aggressive styling. The AS250 looks a bit more toned down.

In terms of power and refinement the AS250 is definitely a step up. On highways, that extra 50cc really makes a difference.
