The Tour S STD’s reliability in Maruti Vs Other Budget Sedans.
by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
Any vehicle has to be reliable, but for cars like the Maruti Tour S STD that are used for high mileage, commercial use, reliability is even more important. Tour S STD is a simplified version of the Dzire and one of its most reliable options, its powertrain is less complicated and the build robust for commercial use. But this view is often contested by car fans and owners. Its stripped down nature and focus on the key components make it some argue more reliable than feature packed alternatives. But others argue that cost cutting could affect long term durability. The debate almost always gets comparisons with other budget sedans in the market, from Maruti and other manufacturers about maintenance costs, how often they get repaired, how long they stay for heavy use conditions, and so on.

Resale value is where the real test of reliability is. Tour S STDs keep their value well, that speaks volumes about how people see them in the market.

Maintenance is more about reliability than the car itself. Any day a neglected premium sedan will outlast a well maintained Tour S STD.

I think people overestimate how reliable it is. And it’s still a budget car, and that will show in the long run, in the harsh conditions.

The Tour S STD is definitely simple and that helps with reliability. With fewer things to go wrong, you have fewer repairs.

I know for a fact that as a fleet operator, this one is reliable. Tour S STDs have less downtime than other budget sedans we have used.

It’s reliable, as are most Maruti cars. I don’t think it’s much better than a regular Dzire or even a Swift.

The Tour S STD is a tank in my experience. These things can run lakhs of kilometers just with basic maintenance, I have seen.
