The Avenger 160 Street does live up to its 'cruiser' image.

The Bajaj Avenger 160 Street is marketed as an affordable entry level cruiser and the debate is if it really is a cruiser. Others say its small engine and meager features don't seem to fit the relaxed, powerful image that comes to mind when imagining cruisers. Still, others insist that it’s a true cruiser, despite its lack of displacement, because of its style and comfortable riding position. Some say the Avenger is the cruiser, others say it's more of a styled commuter. It raises the question of whether the Avenger 160 will fit the bill for a cruiser, or should the buyer wait and save up for something a little more traditional.

It is its own thing, the Avenger 160, a uniquely Indian take on the cruiser concept. That’s not a Harley, and that’s okay.

I'd call it a "cruiser-lite." It provides you with some of the style and comfort, but not the performance. It's a good way to start towards bigger cruisers.

It is a cruiser essence in an Indian context. Here our roads and traffic are different, so a smaller, more manageable cruiser makes sense.

It’s a poser bike, let’s be real. The Avenger 160 just isn't about presence and power, and so true cruisers they are not. Save up for something bigger.

An excellent entry level cruiser, without the frightening size and big horsepower of larger bikes. Ideal for a taster of the cruiser life.

I think it really gets the cruiser vibe! It’s perfect for chill rides with the relaxed riding position and low end torque. Not every cruiser has to be a highway monster.

It's a cruiser in looks only. The engine is a 160cc and it just doesn't have the grunt to make you feel like you're really on a cruiser. It is more like a commuter.
