Is Tata Magic CNG 8 Seater a practical daily use vehicle in Indian cities?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
Tata Magic CNG 8 Seater is introduced as a multi purpose vehicle for commercial and personal use. It's meant to take passengers through congested Indian city streets, and can accommodate up to 8 passengers. But there are still doubts about its tight turning radius, where it will park (at home, in a driveway or garage), and whether it’s too much vehicle for an average family to use. Its CNG variant is said to be more economical to use for daily needs, but are the savings worth the loss in comfort offered compared to regular cars? It also provokes a debate of its appropriateness to different road scenarios and its effectiveness in congested traffic hours.

It’s great for bad roads, but on highways it feels a bit unstable. Not the best for long trips.

I use it for my school van service. Great size and the kids think it's great. Parents also think it's safer than an auto.

It is practical, but there are no basic comforts. In Indian summers, no AC in some variants is a deal breaker for me.

The variant on CNG is super economical. Compared to my old diesel van, I’m saving a ton on fuel costs.

If you have a large family, it’s decent for daily use. For solo commuters, it’s overkill and a fuel gazzler.

No way, man. Parking when things are all crowded is a nightmare. For city runs, I’d rather stick to my hatchback.

Absolutely! It’s a game changer and I’ve been using it for my catering business. Fits all my staff and equipment easily.
