Consider resale value too. While the value of the Trials 500 is partly in the fact it is still in its original condition, a heavily customized Trials 500 might be worth less than a modified standard Bullet.

Honestly, either way works. The scrambler look is the gift that keeps on giving, and the Trials 500 gives you a head start on this look, but a standard Bullet is a blank canvas. That all depends on your vision and on your budget.

I've seen some awesome custom Trials 500s. The trick is to make its scrambler vibe stronger, without changing its character.

It depends on your goals. If you’re looking for a truly unique bike, start with the Trials 500. If you’re on a budget or are interested in doing a ground up build, go with a standard Bullet.

Customising a Trials 500 is a waste. Why mess with it? It's already a special bike. Regular Bullet save the mods.

The Trials 500 is a great starting point, I think. You can build on top of what it already has as some cool mods and make something really unique.
