Do the customizable riding modes of the TVS iQube Vision actually make a difference?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
Another heavily marketed feature is a feature that allows you to customize riding modes on the TVS iQube Vision. They supposedly let riders dial in the experience, tweaking acceleration, top speed and regenerative braking. But there is an ongoing debate as to whether these modes really provide any real world benefits in the riding. Users claim that they can feel a huge difference between modes, and others say it’s mostly placebo. It also talks about the practicality of switching modes frequently on daily commute. There have also been questions over battery life and long term use of the high and eco modes when switching between the two frequently. With more riders getting their hands on the iQube Vision, the community is excited to hear about the real world experience of these customizable modes and if they're as good as they sound.

I like the option to customize, but I’ve found my sweet spot and rarely change it now. It's nice to have, though.

The modes are great, I just wish they were more different. It’s a bit of a mess, feeling like small tweaks rather than distinct riding experiences.

It's a gimmick. It’s still an electric scooter, at the end of the day. It doesn’t magically transform into something else.

I love the customization! You have a bunch of scooters all in one. Depending on the type of trip, I use different modes.

For a bit of fun the sport mode is nice, but when you’re commuting daily I just leave it in normal mode. Switching is not worth the hassle.

The eco mode actually does wonders for my range anxiety. However, if I need to, I can squeeze a couple extra kilometers out.

I've played with all the modes and frankly, I can hardly tell the difference. You're not swapping a Vespa and a superbike.
