The Toyota bZ4X is a significant entry into the electric vehicle market, but it comes with some notable limitations. While it offers a comfy ride, a roomy interior, and peppy in-town acceleration, its highway range is a major letdown. The EPA range estimates of 222-252 miles are not impressive, especially when compared to other EVs in its class. The oddly placed instrumentation and limited brake-regeneration capability are additional drawbacks. However, the bZ4X is well-suited for city driving and offers good off-road capability with its all-wheel-drive version. Overall, its a pleasant EV, but its best for those who dont venture far from home.
