The Tork T6X is India’s first all-electric performance motorcycle, designed for urban riders who want a blend of technology, style, and practicality. It is powered by a 6 kW brushless DC motor that delivers 27 Nm of instant torque, enabling a top speed of 100 kmph and a range of 100 km on a single charge. The Tork T6X stands as India's first commercially viable premium electric motorcycle, developed after seven years of intensive research and development. I view this motorcycle as a comprehensive package that addresses modern commuting needs with innovative engineering and thoughtful feature integration. Powered by a 6 kW brushless DC motor delivering 27 Nm of instant torque, it achieves a top speed of 100 kmph and offers a 100 km range on a full charge. The motorcycle's intelligence comes from the proprietary TIROS technology, which manages power delivery, monitors consumption patterns, and enables automatic software updates through cloud connectivity. Key features include a 4.3-inch touchscreen digital display with GPS and navigation, mobile app integration, helmet storage, and mobile charging ports. The chassis comprises a custom trellis frame with telescopic front suspension and spring-loaded hydraulic rear suspension, wrapped in quality components including dual-compound tubeless tyres on 17-inch alloy wheels. Weighing just 130 kg and equipped with modern safety systems like ABS, CDS, anti-theft mechanisms, and geo-fencing, the T6X represents Tork's commitment to delivering a technologically advanced, practical electric motorcycle tailored for Indian urban environments.

Our Verdict

Expert opinion and recommendation

The Tork T6X stands out as India’s first all-electric performance motorcycle, offering a unique blend of technology, design, and practicality for urban riders. With a top speed of 100 kmph and a claimed range of 100 km on a single charge, it delivers enough performance for daily commutes and short rides. The 6 kW brushless motor provides instant torque, making it quick off the line, while the single-speed transmission ensures a hassle-free riding experience. The build quality is robust, with a steel trellis frame and 17-inch alloy wheels, and the digital TFT console, app connectivity, and advanced safety features like ABS and anti-theft add to its appeal. However, the range may not suit long-distance riders, and charging infrastructure is still developing in India. For those seeking a modern, tech-loaded electric motorcycle with a sporty edge, the T6X is a compelling choice, especially in cities where short rides and easy charging are the norm.

The Tork T6X represents a significant milestone in India's electric two-wheeler revolution, and I find it to be a compelling choice for urban commuters seeking a premium electric motorcycle experience. This machine delivers impressive performance credentials with its 6 kW motor and 27 Nm of instant torque, reaching 100 kmph without any vibrations, which is particularly noteworthy for an electric motorcycle. What truly sets this apart is Tork's commitment to technology and user experience through features like the TIROS operating system, cloud connectivity, and GPS-enabled navigation. The build quality appears robust with its custom trellis frame and quality components including 267 mm front disc brakes and 17-inch alloy wheels. However, I must acknowledge that the 100 km range per charge may feel limiting for highway riding, and the motorcycle's positioning at the premium end of the electric two-wheeler spectrum means it appeals to tech-savvy, environmentally conscious buyers rather than budget-conscious consumers. The inclusion of safety features like ABS and anti-theft technology demonstrates Tork's understanding of Indian market requirements, making this a thoughtfully engineered product that justifies consideration despite its higher price point.

Recent news and announcements

I've been tracking the Tork Kratos R closely since its 2022 launch in India, and as of early 2026, this performance electric motorcycle from Pune-based Tork Motors continues to stand out in the crowded EV space with its 9kW peak power axial-flux motor delivering 38Nm torque, a claimed 105km/h top speed, and IDC range up to 180km in Eco+ mode, though real-world figures hover around 120-150km for mixed city rides. The 4kWh IP67-rated battery supports fast charging to 80% in about an hour, paired with features like ride analytics, geofencing, and two years of free access to Tork's charging network, making it practical for urban commuters seeking sporty naked-bike styling on a 140kg kerb weight frame with 785mm seat height and 165mm ground clearance. Recent buzz around a 2026 Edition highlights refined suspension for better bump absorption on Indian roads, stronger disc brakes, and sharper body panels, but Tork's ongoing financial struggles—including halted dealer dispatches since late 2023, employee terminations, and buyout talks with majors like Hero and TVS—raise valid concerns over service support and spare parts availability, potentially impacting buyer confidence despite its punchy 0-40km/h in 3.5 seconds and connected TIROS OS interface.
February 19, 2026
I have reviewed the Tork Kratos R electric motorcycle, and I must say it represents a compelling addition to India's growing electric two-wheeler segment[1][2]. This machine delivers genuine performance with its 9kW axial-flux motor generating 38Nm of peak torque, enabling a 0-40 km/h sprint in just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 105 km/h[1][4]. The 4.0 kWh lithium-ion battery pack is IP67-rated, making it resilient against India's monsoon conditions, and offers a realistic range of 120 km in mixed riding, though Tork claims up to 180 km in their new Eco+ mode[1][2]. What I appreciate most is the charging flexibility—you can achieve 0-80% charge in one hour with a fast charger, making it practical for daily commuting across Indian cities[1]. The bike features a sportier streetfighter design with sharp lines and an aggressive stance that appeals to younger riders. Available at approximately 1.67 lakh rupees, it positions itself competitively against rivals like the Revolt RV400. The motorcycle offers multiple ride modes including Eco, City, and Sport, allowing riders to prioritize either range or performance based on their needs[2]. For urban Indian riders seeking an eco-friendly alternative without compromising on acceleration and top speed, the Kratos R delivers genuine value.
February 19, 2026
The Tork Kratos R represents a significant milestone in India's electric motorcycle landscape, and I've been impressed by how this Pune-based manufacturer has finally delivered on its long-standing promise. This performance-oriented e-motorcycle packs a 9.0 kW motor generating 38 Nm of torque, enabling a brisk 0-40 km/h acceleration in approximately 4 seconds and a top speed of 105 km/h. The standout feature remains the impressive range capability, with the Eco+ mode claiming up to 180 km per charge, though real-world mixed riding typically yields 120-150 km depending on your throttle aggression. The 4.0 kWh lithium-ion battery with IP67 rating handles monsoon conditions effectively, crucial for Indian riders. Charging takes 4-5 hours via standard wall outlet or roughly one hour to 80 percent with fast charging. The bike's aggressive naked-bike styling combined with practical features like multiple riding modes, regenerative braking, and the proprietary TIROS operating system makes it genuinely compelling for performance-conscious urban commuters. At Rs 1.67 lakh after subsidies, it positions itself competitively, though the finishing and build quality varies across early production units. For those seeking an engaging, practical electric motorcycle tailored for Indian roads, the Kratos R delivers genuine substance beyond marketing promises.
February 19, 2026
The Tork Kratos R represents a significant milestone in India's electric motorcycle landscape, and I've had the opportunity to experience what this locally developed machine brings to the market[1][3]. This premium electric motorcycle now commands a price of Rs 2,07,499 ex-showroom before subsidies, though it drops to Rs 1,22,999 post-subsidy, making it more accessible to Indian buyers[3]. The R variant distinguishes itself with a potent 9kW motor producing 38Nm of torque, compared to the standard Kratos's 7.5kW output[3]. What impressed me most is the claimed 180km range on the Indian Driving Cycle with the 4kWh lithium-ion battery, though real-world figures hover around 120km depending on riding mode[3]. The fast-charging capability allows 0-80% charge in just one hour, and Tork's expanding network of 40 experience zones across major Indian cities demonstrates their commitment to customer support[1]. The motorcycle offers four riding modes—Eco, City, Sports, and the newer Eco+ mode—providing flexibility for different commuting scenarios[3][5]. For Indian riders seeking a performance-oriented electric motorcycle with local manufacturing credentials and practical range capabilities, the Kratos R delivers a compelling proposition in the premium segment.

Tork Motors, backed by investors like Ratan Tata and Bhavish Aggarwal, is struggling to maintain its operations due to financial constraints. The companys inability to secure fresh investments has affected its ability to expand its product line and maintain sales. I think the support of its prominent backers could be crucial in its survival.

Price

Pricing details and changes

The Tork T6X is priced at around ₹1.25 lakh ex-showroom, making it one of the more affordable electric motorcycles in its segment. On-road prices can vary depending on the city, with additional costs for registration, insurance, and road tax, typically pushing the final price to around ₹1.4 lakh to ₹1.5 lakh in most major cities. This pricing positions the T6X as a competitive option compared to petrol-powered rivals like the TVS Apache RTR 200 and KTM Duke 200, especially when considering the lower running costs and government incentives for electric vehicles. The upfront cost is reasonable for the features and technology offered, and the long-term savings on fuel and maintenance make it a smart investment for urban commuters. However, buyers should factor in the cost of home charging setup and potential battery replacement after several years, though the battery is rated for 1,000 cycles, which should last the life of the motorcycle for most users.
December 2, 2025
The Tork T6X launched at a promotional pre-booking price of Rs 1.25 lakh ex-showroom, positioning it as a premium offering in India's electric motorcycle segment. From a pricing perspective, I view this as a strategic entry point designed to establish brand credibility in the market. The on-road price in major metros like Delhi, Bangalore, and Pune would likely range between Rs 1.35 to 1.45 lakh when accounting for registration, insurance, and road tax, though exact figures vary by state and dealership location. This premium pricing reflects the advanced technology integration, including the sophisticated battery management system and cloud-connected digital console. What makes this interesting is that while the upfront cost appears steep compared to conventional fuel motorcycles, when calculated against long-term fuel and maintenance expenses, the value proposition becomes clearer. I believe potential buyers should view this as an investment in future-ready mobility rather than a direct price comparison with petrol bikes, especially considering the minimal operational costs and the comprehensive warranty typically offered on the battery pack. The promotional pricing also suggests Tork may offer better schemes and financing options to incentivize early adoption among early enthusiasts.

Mileage

Fuel efficiency information

The Tork T6X offers a claimed range of 100 km on a full charge, which is sufficient for daily city commutes and short rides. The running cost is extremely low, with each full charge costing around ₹32 at home, translating to just 28 paise per km. This makes it much cheaper to run than petrol motorcycles, especially in urban areas where short distances are common. For buyers concerned about mileage and running costs, the T6X is an excellent choice, as it eliminates fuel expenses and reduces maintenance needs. However, the range may not be ideal for long-distance travel, and charging time should be considered for those with frequent long rides.
December 2, 2025
From a running cost perspective, the Tork T6X delivers exceptional efficiency that significantly improves the ownership experience. Each full charge costs approximately Rs 32 at home, translating to a remarkable running cost of just 28 paise per kilometer, which is substantially lower than any comparable petrol motorcycle. The 100 km range per charge makes it ideal for daily city commuting with a single overnight charge, and the 80 percent battery charge achieved in 60 minutes provides flexibility for quick top-ups. I must highlight that the lithium-ion battery is engineered to last 1,000 charging cycles, equivalent to approximately 100,000 kilometers, meaning realistic battery replacement concerns are minimal during the vehicle's practical ownership period. For buyers prioritizing low operational costs and environmental considerations, this motorcycle presents an undeniable advantage in India's current automotive landscape.
