UM launched its range of cruisers at 2016 Auto Expo while the company wishes to expand its lineup in the coming years by adding an adventure bike to the list. The 2018 Auto Expo is said to be the official launch date for this motorcycle. UM Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S are selling in good numbers and UM Global is increasing its dealer and service network on constant basis in India.
The company does not believe in restricting their image to cruiser segment. Adventure segment would be the second on the company's list, followed by commuter and sport bikes in the more coming years. The motorcycle is expected to be within 200-250 cc, most probably hinting at the Hypersport 230 from its international lineup. It is expected be priced around INR 1.60 lakhs in India.
The same was also spotted testing in the country, hinting at a most probable launch for the Hypersport as the mystery adventure bike from UML. Carrying a smart approach, the motorcycle uses a raised front mudguard, high mounted exhaust, extended tank shrouds and a high seating position.
Hypersport 230 is powered by a 223 cc, air cooled engine producing 16 HP and 17.7 Nm of torque. The petal shaped alloy wheels look amazing on the motorcycle while a single front and rear disc brake makes it safe to ride in the urban jungle. The golden finished USD forks look really amazing on the Hypersport 230.
