Mercedes Benz has brought another CBU to the lineup, extending its presence with another petrol SUV in the Indian market. The GLE 400 4MATIC has been launched in India with a price tag of INR 74.90 lakh, whose local assembly may start later this year. This makes it the first GLE to have a petrol engine under its hood.
The car is powered by a 3.0 L V6, twin turbo petrol engine producing 333 HP @ 5250-6000 rpm and 480 Nm of torque at 1600-4000 rpm. It uses a 7G-Tronic Plus automatic gearbox while the 4MATIC here symbolizes the 4 wheel drive character of the car. The features on the car include electric sunroof, full LED headlamps, 360 degree camera and parking sensors, AIRMATIC suspension, 7 inch infotainment display and Harman Kardon sound system.
