The news of bringing a smaller petrol engine into the S-Class was purely true as Mercedes Benz has launched the S400 variant in India at a price tag of INR 1.31 Crore (Ex-showroom Hyderabad). The car counts 9th when it comes to the number of variants of S-Class being available in the country. Powering this beast is a 2996 cc, V6 petrol motor producing 333 hp @ 5250-6000 rpm and 480 Nm @ 1600-4000 rpm. It takes 6.1 seconds to reach 100 kmph from standstill while the top speed has been electronically limited to 250 kmph. The car weighs 2113 kg while the wheelbase remains the same at 3165 mm. The car comes with features like Burmester 3D surround system, 24 speakers, ambient lighting with 7 colors and 5 levels, massaging rear seats, 8 airbags, adaptive brakes and many more.
