The five-door India-spec Jimny is expected to make its global debut in January 2023 at the 2023 Auto Expo. It will have a longer wheelbase than the global-spec Jimny Sierra three-door. It will be more practical and spacious on the inside. It will accommodate more passengers while retaining the signature off-roading capabilities.

It will compete with the upcoming five-door Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha. A 1.5-litre four-pot petrol engine with a 4WD system will power it. Jimny will likely have a 9\" touchscreen infotainment system with connected car tech.

It will be powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. Like the one found in the Baleno RS, producing around 100 PS and 150 Nm.
