The 2022 Maruti Suzuki WagonR was introduced in the Indian market in January last year. Several changes were made to the style, technology, comfort, safety, and performance. However, in Japan, the WagonR has received a facelift for the 2023 model year. Japan-spec WagonR is powered by a 660cc engine available in both NA petrol and mild hybrid configurations. This engine is available in Turbo form with Stingray and Custom Z. A 5-speed manual transmission and a CVT are available as transmission options along with two drivetrain options: 2WD and 4WD. The mild-hybrid powertrain in conjunction with the CVT transmission achieves the highest fuel efficiency.
