Kawasaki India has recently expanded its bike portfolio by adding a new dirt bike. The 2022 model KLX450R off-roader bike has been launched with a price tag of Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This recently introduced model is Rs 50,000 costlier than the model it has replaced. The KLX450R will reach the customer's doors by the end of January 2022. Offered in the appealing lime green colour only, the bike has been brought to our shores as a CBU unit just like its forerunner.

At the heart of the Kawasaki KLX450R is the 449cc, big-bore, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine, which is paired with a wide-ratio 5-speed transmission. Although the power figures are not yet revealed for our country, we can expect the bike to generate the same 56.4 HP at 8500rpm and 50 Nm at 7500rpm. It is also reported that the engine has been tuned to churn out more low-end torque.

The Kawasaki KLX450R also comes equipped with a Renthal aluminium handlebar as standard.
