Honda July 2026 Sales: Activa Slips as Shine 125 Closes the Gap

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India dispatched 476,436 two-wheelers in July 2026, about 2 percent more than a year earlier. The total grew modestly, but the model mix changed sharply.

Activa remained Honda's largest seller at 206,170 units, though volume fell 13 percent year on year. Shine 125 moved the other way, rising 27 percent to 176,756 units and cutting the gap to fewer than 30,000 units.

Shine 125 becomes the growth engine

Shine 125 accounted for roughly 37 percent of Honda's July dispatches, compared with Activa's share of about 43 percent. A year earlier, their volumes were much farther apart: Activa recorded 237,413 units and Shine 125 recorded 138,665.

The July result does not mean Activa has lost leadership, but it does make Honda's portfolio more balanced between scooters and commuter motorcycles. Shine 125 also improved 16 percent over June 2026, while Activa declined 6 percent month on month.

Other models show mixed momentum

CB Unicorn 150 was Honda's third-largest contributor at 35,007 units. Premium motorcycle volumes grew from a smaller base: CB350 reached 4,812 units, SP160 recorded 3,731 and H'ness reached 2,484.

The electric range remained small by comparison. QC1 recorded 1,160 units and Activa e: 104, showing that Honda's present volume still rests overwhelmingly on petrol scooters and motorcycles.

Honda's 2 percent overall growth hides a meaningful internal shift. Activa is still the anchor, but Shine 125's surge reduces dependence on one scooter and strengthens Honda's commuter-bike position. The next few months will show whether this is a durable mix change or a particularly strong month for the 125cc motorcycle.
