If the reports come true, only two models will remain in the company’s Indian line-up. The Honda Amaze, 5th-gen Honda City, along with the newly launched City e:HEV strong hybrid car, will be the only products by the brand in our country.

As per the expected timeline, for these cars to be taken out of India, the Honda Jazz will say goodbye after October this year, while the 4th-gen City will remain here till December only. On the other hand, the Honda WR-V will be available till March 2023.

If we talk about the sales reports of these vehicles, there is no denying the fact that the WR-V and Jazz are flop cars, but it is quite shocking that the brand is discontinuing the 4th-gen City, which is performing well in the market.

Even Honda has modified the fourth generation City's base SV model to include the top-tier V's 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system as standard equipment. Despite being a basic model, it provides excellent value because the sedan's price has not increased. The 4th-gen City’s price is even more affordable than Maruti Suzuki’s compact sedans like the Dzire.

Meanwhile, the brand is already working actively on the upcoming models in the country. There will be two SUVs, among which one will be the entry-level compact SUV, whereas the other will be a premium mid-size model.

Honda intends to launch these models as competitors to the Tata Nexon or Maruti Brezza, as well as the Hyundai Creta or Kia Seltos. The manufacturer is going to develop these upcoming models on the platform that propels the Honda Amaze sedan. However, there will be some updates as required.
