Hero sold more than 7 lakh units in September 2017, breaking the record for highest selling Indian brand of all time in two wheeler section. All credit goes to its strong commuter motorcycle range.

Hero MotoCorp is presently the most powerful brand in terms of yearly sales, closely followed by HMSI with its ever rising sales in India. When talking about these two brands, they collectively make a large part of total Indian 2-wheeler sales.
Hero Splendor is India’s most selling geared product while Honda leads at number 1 with Activa from last few months. October 2017 can even reshuffle the positions as no one knows how many Splendors were sold on Dhanteras. The sales figure of September-October 2017 will see a huge spike for the first time after March 2017.
Commenting on the new record, a Hero official said, "This festive season has been a blockbuster for Hero MotoCorp. The highest-ever single day retail sales of well over 3 Lakh Hero 2-Wheelers on Dhanteras comes on the back of what has been a season of new global records for Hero. We sold a record 7-lakh units in September, the highest ever in monthly sales by any company and also sold over two million units in the second Quarter.”
