Toyota Fortuner Legender India Launch Soon: In addition to unveiling the standard model of the 2021 Fortuner, Toyota also revealed the Fortuner Legender in the Thai markets back on June 4 with a starting price tag of 1,557,000 Thai Baht (INR 38.21 lakhs, approx.). As per the latest details available, Toyota would be launching the Fortuner Legender in India in early 2021 and it would be getting a starting ex-showroom price tag of INR 43 lakhs.
In comparison to the standard model, the Legender version features a different front fascia with an all-black grille, blackened-out components and a different design for the headlights. The Fortuner Legender will be available in three colour combinations namely White Pearl with Black roof, Emotional Red with Black roof, and Attitude Black Mica.

The 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender is available with two engine options in Thailand. The 2.4-litre diesel engine is good for a maximum power of 150 HP at 3,400 rpm along with a peak torque of 400 Nm at 1,600-2,000 rpm. The 2.8-litre GD diesel engine is capable to generate a maximum power of 204 HP at 3,400 rpm along with a peak torque of 500 Nm at 1,600-2,000 rpm. Both the engines are mated to a 6-speed automatic with sequential-shift and paddle-shift gearbox. For the Indian market, we would be getting the 204HP-500Nm diesel engine option.
In terms of interior, the Fortuner Legender model features a similar design profile in comparison to the standard model though it gets some additional features like a wireless smartphone charger, a bigger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting system, dual-tone seats, JBL speaker system, and hands-free smart boot door.
In terms of safety, the 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender is equipped with Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Brake Assist (BA), Traction Assist Control (TAC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electric Braking Distribution (EBD), Trailor-Sway Control (TSC), front and rear disc brakes, and 6-position parking sensors.
