Tata Altroz iTurbo Brochure Leaked: The official brochure of much-awaited Altroz iTurbo hatchback has leaked ahead of the official launch in the Indian markets. Under the hood, the most powerful version of the hatchback is powered by a turbocharged 1.2L petrol engine, which churns out a maximum power of 110PS at 5,500 rpm, and maximum torque of 140 Nm at 1,500 to 5,500 rpm.
This is 28% more power and 24% more torque as compared to the hatchback's naturally-aspirated petrol engine. The Altroz iTurbo can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 13 seconds. One of the key features of the car includes the Xpress Cool technology which optimizes cabin cooling with air conditioning set to max and reaches tolerable temperature quickly.
For the city drive, it includes multi and sport drive modes, while the hatchback also features surround sound from Harman and features 2 additional tweeters. The Altroz iTurbo will also be available in the new XZ+ variant, while the car will also get a new colour as seen on the test vehicles regularly, and is listed as Harbour Blue. In total, there will be five five colour options: Harbour Blue, Downtown Red, Avenue White, High Street Gold, and Midtown Grey.
Some of the other features include auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, a tilt steering wheel, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and a wearable key. The infotainment system of the Altroz iTurbo also lets the users select personalized wallpaper through Doodle personalized wallpaper.
This step is initiated when the ConnectNext app and Infotainment system are connected. One can set a personalized sticker and startup image. Other features also include cruise control, Intelligent Real-time Assist (IRA), voice tech that responds to over 70 commands and controls, a push-button start-stop system with smart key, and 3 words for location specifics.
Tata Altroz was launched back in January 2020 and the Altroz iTurbo's launch is happening almost a year later. While the launch may have suffered at the hands of the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the latest details available, the Altroz iTurbo is all set to launch in India on January 13, 2021, on the occasion of the Lohri festival.
