The GST regime has seen a lot of changes starting from the 1st of July. GST stands for Goods And Services Tax and it is a form of uniform indirect tax. The automobile industry has also seen a lot of changes post the implementation of GST tax slabs applicable on cars. As per new tax law a uniform tax rate of 28% is applicable on cars and SUVs for all the segments.
As a result, all the luxury cars and SUVs which had to get higher tax rate will now do with an overall 28% GST only with a higher rate of cess. Here we have prepared an updated post-GST price list for the 3 most-selling luxury car brands in India: Mercedes-Benz, BMW & Audi.
