According to recent reports, the ex-showroom price list of the BS6 MG Hector diesel has been recently revealed by the brand. The BS6-compliant diesel SUV now starts at a price tag of INR 13.88 lakh for the entry-level Style variant and goes all the way up to INR 17.73 lakh for the highest-spec Sharp trim. When compared to the BS4 price tags, the SUV with a BS6-compliant diesel engine is now INR 40,000 to INR 45,000 costlier in the Indian markets.
Apart from the addition of an updated diesel engine that now complies with the new emission norms applicable in India, the BS6 MG Hector diesel remains cosmetically unaltered. The petrol variants of the SUV have also been updated with a BS6-compliant engine while there has been no feature update offered to the updated SUV.
The MG Hector diesel continues to be powered by a 2.0-litre Fiat-sourced diesel engine that is now BS6-compliant and capable of churning out a maximum power of 170HP and a peak torque of 350Nm. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.
The features offered to the diesel trims of the SUV also remains the same. The entry-level Hector trim continues to feature projector headlamps, remote locking technology, audio system, reclinable rear backrest, adjustable driver's seat and more.
On the other hand, the highest-spec trim of the diesel SUV continues to be loaded with premium features which include the likes of a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, powered front seats and tailgate as well as connected car technology.
