The 2020 Hyundai Creta graced the Indian markets last month and has been successful in bagging over 7,000 units in sales ever since the bookings commenced with the dealerships. Now, the very famous SRK Designs have digitally rendered the second-gen SUV as a pickup truck that is inspired from the Hyundai Creta STC (Sport Truck Concept) that debuted at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show. The Hyundai Creta STC showcased back in 2016 was based on the first-gen Hyundai Creta though it never made it to the production. If the brand ever decides to bring into production a Hyundai Creta-inspired pickup truck, one can expect it to be based on the latest-gen SUV. Taking inspiration from the Hyundai Palisade just like the second-gen Creta, the pickup truck rendered by the designers features the similar front fascia as that of the 2020 Hyundai Creta with a slightly different upper and lower grille design. The side profile of the pickup truck draws inspiration from the STC variant of the SUV while the overall aggressive outlook accentuates the single-cab format of the pickup truck and differentiates it from the STC design at the same time. The alloy wheel setup on the rendered Hyundai Creta pickup truck is different from the one offered to the STC design showcased back in 2016 while the skid plates further set it apart from the MY2020 version as well. At present, the 2020 Hyundai Creta can be availed in the markets in three different powertrains namely 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre VGT diesel and the 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol. The SUV is available in India at a starting price tag of INR 9.99 lakh and competes in the market against the likes of Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Tata Harrier and more.
