Kawasaki has dethroned Harley-Davidson from the first position, winning the title of the most selling 1000cc-2000cc motorcycle of India with Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R. The most-selling product from the Japanese manufacturer got 47 buyers in August 2018, further carrying a huge backlog of deliveries for the model. Harley still dominates the number game, retailing 21 units of Fat Boy and 18 units of Fat Bob for the second and third position respectively. Harley 1200 Custom stood fourth with 13 units while Forty-Eight got 11 buyers in the month of August. Article image Suzuki Hayabusa, Kawasaki Ninja 1000 and Harley Roadster shared the sixth position with 9 units while Honda Goldwing independently stood seventh with 7 units. Low Rider from Harley and Triumph Bonneville T120, both being extremely comfortable machines, shades the eighth position with 6 units each. Now comes the biggest collaboration ever for one position, with Harley Street Glide, Honda Africa Twin, Kawasaki Ninja H2, Harley Street Bob, Triumph Bonneville Bobber and Speedmaster sharing the ninth position with 5 units each in the 31-day period. Article image Kawasaki Z1000 stood tenth with 2 units in sales charts. Both buyers must have got an impressive deal as Kawasaki is clearing CBU stocks to start CKD process for their liter-class naked streetfighter. Once launched through the assembly route, Z1000 will undercut the price of Ninja 1000 for sure.
