Honda to Launch New Motorcycle in India on August 27: Honda 2-Wheelers India has sent a 'Block Your Date' invite for August 27, 2020, but the brand has not revealed anything about the upcoming product. The online launch event is scheduled to take place between 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM. As Honda has not revealed anything officially, we think that the upcoming product could be the much-awaited CB Hornet 200R. Some reports even suggest that the upcoming two-wheeler could be the BS6-compliant version of the CB Hornet 160R or the CB300R. But Honda has mentioned this in the invite - "GET READY TO EXPERIENCE A NEW EXCITEMENT!", so it wouldn't be just an upgrade from BS4 to BS6 for an existing product. It is expected to be an all-new product for the Indian market. The chances of a scooter are also less as Honda has recently upgraded the Activa series, Dio, and the Grazia. For now, according to us, the brand is going to launch the CB Hornet 200R to compete with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and the TVS Apache RTR 200. In terms of pricing, the Hornet 200R would be getting an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 1.40 lakhs. As per the details available, the brand will be equipping the upcoming 200cc motorcycle with a liquid-cooled engine that will be capable of generating a maximum power output between 20HP-23HP. It is expected that Honda would be increasing the displacement of the China-spec CBF190R's 184.4cc engine to around 199.5cc and will also tune the same to generate more power and torque to make the CB Hornet 200R capable enough to compete with the rest of the 200cc street bikes available in the Indian market.
