Ducati Bikes to Feature Get Radar System by 2020: Ducati 2025 Safety Road Map will ensure that customer stay safe every time they take their bike out on a ride. Following their plans seriously, people at Ducati have fitted all present generation bikes with cornering ABS from Bosch.
More than that, they have an existing model that interacts with airbag equipped jacket and helps riders stay safe during sudden high impact accidents. Scrambler 1100 is world’s first classic model that use cornering ABS for added safety. Ducati took one step ahead and started working on radar as well as sensor based systems that can help future riders avoid a mishap.
ARAS or Advanced Rider Assistance System will work in a similar manner as Driver Assistance System of a premium car. Through various ways of feedback, the system can warn rider of upcoming obstacles and prevent possible collisions.

They have been working on these systems from 2016, developing a rear radar based system that alerts about vehicles in blind spot area and also covering high speed approaching traffic. They have filed a patent for their algorithm and presented their publication to concerned authorities. This was achieved by a team consisting of Ducati employees, University of Milan researchers and undergraduate students.
Front radar system will help rider enjoy adaptive cruise control system and not just that, it will also let them select the distance they need to maintain with vehicle at their front. This radar will serve as warning unit for upcoming traffic that is out of its lane and coming straight into your side.
Cornering ABS help riders stay safe when entering a corner at high speed and braking suddenly due to some reason. The tyre won’t slip here and rider can feel similar levels of safety when exiting a corner. Ducati Multistrada 1260 D|air variant offers split second airbag function for the rider wearing Airbag Jacket.
