Expected to be officially unveiled at the EICMA in November 2019, the biggest scrambler from the Italian brand, the Benelli Leoncino 800 has been recently spotted online. The motorcycle seems to be in its production state while features the same styling traits as that of the concept model showcased earlier. Coming to the major updates, in comparison to the concept model's petal disc brakes, the production-spec Benelli Leoncino 800 now features conventional disc brakes at either end. In addition to this, the motorcycle now gets repositioned pillion footrest which further improves the ergonomics. The motorcycle spotted online now features alloy wheels compared to the spoke wheel setup on the concept model. The Leoncino 800’s production variant features the same lozenge-shaped headlight mated to a small windscreen, as seen on the concept version. The front fender has been further equipped with the brand’s Lion mascot, similar to the one on the concept model. Coming to the other mechanical changes, the motorcycle now features Marzocchi MTB forks at the front while the rear has been equipped with a monoshock absorber. To keep the cost under check, the brand has now equipped the motorcycle with Benelli’s in-house radial callipers, assisted by BOSCH ABS that have replaced the Brembo callipers shown on the concept version. The brand has equipped the motorcycle with a 120/70-ZR17 tyre at the front and a 180/55-ZR17 tyre at the rear end. The engine is capable of churning out a maximum power of 76HP with maximum torque of 67Nm while the top speed is expected to stay around 190kmph. The kerb weight of the motorcycle stands at 223kgs, making it one of the heaviest bikes in the brand’s portfolio. As per the reports, the brand will be launching the Leoncino 800 in India sometime in the next year though, the customers can still look out for the recently-launched Benelli Leoncino 250 as well as Imperiale 400 that is expected to hit the Indian market in the coming days.
