Why local assembly is important
Assembly in India can reduce the duty burden relative to completely built imports and give a luxury manufacturer more pricing and equipment flexibility. It does not automatically produce mass-market pricing: components, powertrain choice, exchange rates and specification still shape the final ex-showroom figure.

What remains open
Official launch dates and India-spec powertrains.
Which Q9 variants, if any, will be assembled locally.
Variant-wise pricing and equipment.
The pace at which the market-share target can be reached.
