If it’s an off-road real adventure you’re after, the engine is the bike’s weakest point. Great for road trips, but it can feel a little out of place when things get tough off-road.

It's all about expectations. This is not if you want a traditional ADV. If, however, you'd like a more sporty, more exciting understanding of adventure riding, it's perfect.

I was from a Himalayan, and I miss that low-end grunt. If you compare it to the KTM, it seems nervous and almost wanting to go too fast.

In fact, the high-revving engine actually assists in some off-road situations. The not dealing with a torque monster is, it's easier to modulate power precisely.

It's a great all-rounder. No, it's not perfect, definitely not, but it's good enough everywhere. If you do a bit of everything, then this is perfect.

The engine is fine; it’s just KTM has to adjust the gearing for adventure use. Off-road, you'd help immensely with a larger rear sprocket.

I think it’s a bad match for adventure riding. What you want for technical terrain is low-end torque, not top-end power.

It's a blast to ride! The engine character gives it a feel more like a big dirt bike than a stuffy adventure tourer. It's all about having fun.

The high-revving nature makes it great for carving canyons, but it's bad when you’re fully loaded and trying to climb steep off-road sections.

I really like the sporty feel of it, but on long highway stretches it can start to get a bit tiring. You are always working the gearbox in order to stay in the power band.
