We put the Amo Mobility Jaunty i Pro to the test in wet conditions to see how it performs.
However, riding electric scooters in the rain can be tricky, and many budget models don’t do well on wet roads. According to the Jaunty i Pro, it's an all weather machine, but in the real world the reality is often different. Stability on damp surfaces is praised by some riders, others report traction and braking problems in heavy rain. There are also worries about water damage to the electrical parts. In many cities the weather is unpredictable, so it’s important to know how this e scooter will perform when the skies open up. So does it live up to its all weather promises, or are dry days the only ones to trust? Now, let’s get into the nitty gritty of wet weather riding on the Jaunty i Pro.

Having commuted year round I can say it's decent in wet weather. Not perfect, but if you're careful it's manageable. Just dry it off well after riding in the rain.

I've got some aftermarket tires with better tread and it makes a huge difference in the wet. It can handle rainy days just fine with a few mods.

In light drizzle it’s okay, but anything heavier, and I’d rather take the bus. With no fenders, you will get soaked no matter what.

Once I got caught in a heavy storm and it was terrifying. I nearly skidded out a few times, and the brakes just felt they were less responsive. Not recommended for heavy rain, definitely.

It is surprisingly good in wet conditions. And I've had no problems with traction even on slick roads. Just be careful when braking and turning, but be careful.

I honestly don't ride in the rain. There is simply no point in taking the risk of ruining the electronics or wiping out. The Jaunty i Pro isn’t totally waterproof.

I've ridden mine in light rain just fine. The tyres do seem to grip well, but I wouldn’t go pushing it in the rain. Use common sense and slow down when it is wet.
