The Sorento's infotainment system is user friendly and features rich, but how does it compare to competitors?

Modern driving experience is incomplete without the infotainment system and Kia has been doing a good job of it in recent models. But the system in the Sorento has been met with mixed reviews — some love its responsiveness and feature set, others find it lacking compared to others. One main point of discussion is usually the screen size and resolution, how intuitive the interface is, how good the voice recognition is and if there’s support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. And there's still debate over the trade off of physical buttons versus touchscreen controls or the overall reliability and update frequency of the system. Some users say glitching or lagging, others say smooth and responsive.

My husband's BMW's system is actually not as good as Kia's system. It’s less cluttered and you can find what you need instead of diving into submenus.

I hate not having a tuning knob. It's fine everything else, but scrolling through radio stations on the touchscreen is a pain.
