Is the XUV300’s tiny boot space really a deal breaker?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
Mahindra XUV300 has impressed its customers with its performance, safety and spacious interiors. But its small boot space is one criticism that keeps popping up. Some say it's a huge disadvantage, while others contend it's not quite the problem that people make it out to be. Now, let's see how much practicality the XUV300's boot space offers to daily commuters, weekend travellers and everyone in between. We will examine how it stacks up against rivals, potential workarounds and whether the one factor should outweigh all of the car's other positives. So, could it be that the boot space issue is overblown or are we looking at a real shortcoming that would-be buyers should actually stop to think about when they are in the market for a car?

The small boot is a pain in the arse but I got a roof carrier for longer trips which is a little bit more practical. Top CanAm / Track Night car yes, but not my ideal so I make up for it with other features in the car.

It depends on your lifestyle, I think. If you’re single or a couple without kids, it’s likely OK. However, for a family with young children the lack of boot space can be a real pain.

The boot space problem is exaggerated by people. They expect it to be a sub 4 meter SUV. If you want a huge boot, check out larger vehicles. However, the XUV300 does so well in other areas that matter more in your daily use.

It's a deal-breaker for me. I was seriously looking at the XUV300 but went for the Nexon only because of the bigger boot. Can't give up practicality.

The rear seats are definitely spacious, but the boot space is definitely small. I’d rather have comfortable passengers than extra luggage space.

People make it out to sound a lot worse than it actually is. It’s fine for day to day use unless you are constantly hauling large items. I had taken road trips with my family of four without any problems.

The tiny boot is honestly a pain. It’s something that I’ve been constantly bugged about ever since I got my XUV300 a year back. Not even able to stuff a week's worth of groceries without folding the rear seats.
