Is the wait for the Mahindra eKUV100 really worth it?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
The eKUV100 has been teased by Mahindra for years now, with multiple delays and some changes to the specifications. It was first showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo as a compact electric SUV promising affordable EV option to Indian consumers. But it has been repeatedly delayed, frustrating potential buyers. As the EV market moves quickly and new competitors enter the arena, many are wondering if the eKUV100 will be a player once it finally gets out on the roads. The long wait has also stoked worries that the technology in the vehicle could be old by the time it hits the road. But they also argue that the delays could give Mahindra time to further refine the product, or that it's a missed opportunity in a burgeoning EV market.

The eKUV100 may already feel outdated, the EV market is moving so fast.

The delays are not good, but if they can keep the price under 10 lakhs, it could still be a hit.

I'm skeptical. By the time it comes out, other companies may have better things.

If they’ve been using that time to improve the battery tech and range, it might be worth the wait.

That said, I would rather wait for the eXUV300 at this point. It seems more promising.

If priced right, I think it could still be a game changer. India needs affordable EVs.

I’m honestly starting to lose patience with Mahindra. This carrot has been dangled for far too long.
