I think it's a good first bike, not the best. New riders will find the vibrations at higher speeds off-putting, and the brakes could stand to be better. Nevertheless, its classic looks and simple maintenance make it attractive for those who want a trouble free first bike experience.

I believe it’s up to the person. If you are a cautious learner and want to take it slow then the Meteor 350 is great. If you want to learn to ride fast, you'll outgrow it pretty quickly.

I can say that as a Meteor 350 owner, it is a very good first bike. It's easy to ride in city traffic with the low end torque and the build quality gives you confidence. But there’s not much here in the way of modern features that a beginner might find useful, like a gear indicator.

I disagree. It's a great bike, but if you're a complete novice you might find it too heavy. Some models don't feature ABS, and are unsuitable for inexperienced riders. So I would start off on something lighter, more forgiving something such as a 250cc bike.

Absolutely! The Meteor 350 is a perfect bike for beginners. It’s easy to control, with smooth and predictable power delivery. It’s comfortable upright seating position also gives you a good view of the road. Also, it’s not too heavy, so you can move it easily at low speeds.
