Is the Pulsar 150 still relevant in 2025?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
The Indian motorcycle market has been a staple of the Bajaj Pulsar 150 for more than two decades now. The core formula has not really changed and it’s seen countless updates and revisions. Given newer, more technologically advanced bikes making their way to the market and especially in the 150 – 160cc section of the market one can no longer help but wonder if the Pulsar 150 still carries its weight in today’s era. For some, it’s a reliable choice, thanks to its time tested design and proven reliability; others see it as out of date in terms of features and performance. There's also the nostalgia aspect to it — a lot of riders have good memories of the Pulsar from their younger self. So is nostalgia enough to keep a bike relevant in an increasingly fast moving market?

Relevant? Maybe. Exciting? Not at all. It’s the bike equivalent of plain white bread.

It's all about perspective. The Pulsar 150 still remains king if you are looking for no nonsense commuter that will run forever.

The 150 is holding back the Pulsar brand, which is iconic. It should be discontinued, as they focus on newer models such as the N160.

It’s still a solid choice for beginners and for the budget conscious reader. But for enthusiasts? Not so much.

It’s still relevant, but Bajaj must up its game. It’s long overdue for a major overhaul.

No way, it's a dinosaur. Have you seen the new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V? It makes the Pulsar look like a stone age device.

Absolutely! Pulsar 150 is the Nokia 3310 of bikes, simple, reliable and it gets the job done. Not every one needs or want fancy features.
