Is the Mahindra Bolero Neo worth buying as a family SUV despite its basic interior?
I'm considering the Mahindra Bolero Neo as our family vehicle, primarily for its 7-seater capacity. While the price point seems attractive at around ₹9.5 lakh, I'm concerned about the relatively basic interior compared to other SUVs in this range. The lack of rear AC vents particularly worries me since we live in Chennai where summers are intense.
The suspension setup seems impressive from what I've experienced during the test drive, especially on rough patches. I frequently travel between city and rural areas, and the vehicle feels planted. However, the limited boot space with all seats up is making me hesitate, as we often travel with extended family and luggage.
I appreciate its reliability and rugged build, which seems perfect for our occasional trips to my hometown's unpaved roads. But for daily city use, I'm wondering if the basic features and interior comfort might feel too compromised. The steering feels a bit heavy in city traffic, and parking in tight spaces requires effort.
For those who own a Bolero Neo, especially in urban areas - how practical has it been as a daily driver? I'm trying to balance between its proven reliability and the need for modern comfort features that my family expects in a 2024 vehicle.
