Is the Hyundai i20 really overpriced?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
The Hyundai i20 has been a good seller in the premium hatchback segment for years, but lately there’s been a lot of talk about its pricing. There are those who feel the price is over the top against rivals such as Maruti Suzuki Baleno or Tata Altroz, while others feel the feature list and the build quality do justify the same. The pricing discussion tends to lead to discussions of what you get for your money compared to compact SUVs in the same price category. As is the case with all ongoing discussions between car enthusiasts and people looking to buy cars, there are factors such as interior quality, feature list, engine options, and brand perception involved.

It wasn't always overpriced, I think now. With the recent price hikes, it’s gotten into a place where it’s tough to rationalize over some very compelling alternatives.

It's expensive for a hatchback, let's be real. It's also full of features you'd see in more premium cars. It’s a premium product in its segment.

Overpriced? Maybe a bit. You're also paying for the brand. The price is a combination of Hyundai having a reputation for reliability and good resale value.

I think it is priced right for what you get. In terms of quality, features and a credible after sales service network, Hyundai's price tag is justified. It’s not just about the specs on paper.

It's all about perspective. But if you want refinement and features, you will get them in the i20. If you’re looking for pure value for money, there are cheaper options out there.

Are you kidding? It's totally overpriced. For the same money, you can get a compact SUV that offers you more presence on the road and better practicality.

I don't think it's overpriced nah. The additional money is worth it just for the interior quality. When you're inside it feels like a segment above.
