Is the hype about the Aftek Motors Eone justified?

by Sukhmandeep Kaurover 1 year ago0 views8 comments
These days, the Indian electric scooter market is getting pretty crowded, with new players appearing left and right. When Aftek Motors launched the Eone, it made a few big claims: This was a game changer for urban commuters. However, having been out a little while now, I'm interested in what real owners and riders think. Is it the real deal, living up to the marketing hype of the EV, or just another overhyped EV? I’ve heard mixed things on the range, charging time, and build quality. At that price point, there are a lot of other options to look at. Now that those who've used the Eone for a while, what's your honest take? Would you say that this is really the next big thing and it’s a good investment, or should we consider other models altogether?

It was definitely overhyped, but I think that’s true of most new EV’s nowadays. The scooter itself is fine, with some nice features, but it’s not going to revolutionize the game or anything.

Meh, it's alright. Not terrible, not amazing. If you have a tight budget, you could do worse, but there are better options out there if you’re willing to spend a little more.

I love my Eone! I'm really liking it, it's perfectly suited for my daily commute and I've run into no issues whatsoever. It may be a bit much hype, but I think it's a good first EV for first time EV buyers.

It was definitely oversold in the hype, but I wouldn't call it a bad scooter. It’s reliable, low maintenance, and does what it should. Don't expect it to blow you away.

People need to adjust their expectations, I think. This is not a performance machine, it is an affordable electric scooter. If you are looking to go electric on a budget, I'd say it's worth what it is.

Overhyped for sure. I took one out and was underwhelmed. It’s slower than many others in the price range, has meh acceleration and feels cheap.

I've had mine for 6 months now and I'm pretty happy with it. It's really not perfect, but for the price it does the job. And it handles well in city traffic, with the digital dash being a nice touch.

I honestly think the Eone is a solid entry level option but it’s not exactly revolutionary. It's decent for short commutes though, but don't expect to go anywhere on long trips. Quality of build is okay, but not special.
