Is the DB12’s infotainment system merely a deal breaker or a game changer?

Absolutely. And the DB12 has the performance to match and so much more character than a 911 or a Roma.

In some ways, yes. Aston simply can’t match Porsche or Ferrari’s racing pedigree. And that is visible in the final product.

I think it's quite close but not quite yet. However, Porsche and Ferrari are moving targets, and the DB12 is a huge step forward. Aston needs to keep pushing.

It's not about competing directly. What the DB12 is, is something different; it’s a GT car with supercar performance. It's in its own category.

The DB12 is up there now in terms of daily usability and tech. Now it's a proper modern supercar, not just a pretty face.

Who cares about competing? The DB12 is fast enough and gorgeous. If you want the ultimate track weapon then by a GT3. If you want to feel unique, you don’t buy the Aston.

The DB12 can certainly hold its own when it comes to performance. Aston's real strength is style and exclusivity. It's a different appeal.

Nothing to do with being better it’s just being different. The DB12 is a unique mix of performance and luxury that neither Porsche or Ferrari really offer.

On paper, maybe. Aston, however, still has reliability issues that Porsche and Ferrari fixed years ago. They need to catch up.

Come on, Aston is still playing catch up. Ferrari and Porsche are always one step ahead in terms of innovation, but the DB12 is great.

The system is a good thing, but in reality, it will become obsolete in a couple of years. I just hope Aston have a plan for how they will support and keep the platform up to date.

I think it's overkill. The drive should be an Aston, not playing with a fancy touchscreen. Keep it simple.

It's about time! Previous Astons’ weakest link was the infotainment. This upgrade really puts the DB12 in proper premium territory.

I'm torn. Overall, the tech is impressive, but there is part of me that laments the old school charm of minimal electronics in a sports car.

They have a new system they installed, which is great, but I hope they don't go absolutely bonkers with screens like some other luxury brands. But there is a balance.

It's a necessary evil. At this price point, it’s what buyers expect in a car, modern tech. Or else, Aston had to step up.

I'm worried about long-term reliability. Complex systems usually have poor gradability. Any day it can be physical buttons.

Absolute game-changer. The old system was embarrassingly poor. Aston finally enters the 21st century with this new one.
