Is the Bolero Neo Plus just a stretched Bolero Neo or does it bring something new to the table?

Mahindra’s latest entry into the utility vehicle segment, the Bolero Neo Plus is based on the Bolero Neo, but is touted to be more spacious and practical. A 9 seater, it has a longer wheelbase and body to fit in a third row of seats. But some say it's just a stretched version of the Neo with no major upgrades. There is no denying that others claim it carries unique value to the table, especially for large families or even commercial use. The question is whether the Neo Plus is enough different, capable enough, to warrant its own model, or is just a marketing ploy to grab market share by creating a new segment with very little innovation.

It’s a budget people mover, let’s be real. It doesn’t have to be revolutionary. The price is worth it for decent space and Mahindra’s reliability. That’s enough for many buyers.

In fact, the longer wheelbase improves ride quality, even if the Neo Plus may look similar. It is more stable on highways and will handle better with a full load.

I would say, it is a smart move by Mahindra. What they did was take a proven platform and tweak it to fill a need. Not all new models have to reinvent the wheel.

It's just Mahindra trying to milk the Bolero name, come on. They didn't bother changing the front design. Same old Neo with a box on the back.

It's definitely more than a stretched Neo. The Plus has genuine 9 seater capability, that’s a rarity at this price point. That extra row makes a huge difference for large families or small business.
