Is the Arash AF 10 only vaporware or a real hypercar contender?

Such bold claims of 2,080 bhp and a 0-60 mph time of 2.8 seconds have certainly caught the eye, particularly when the manufacturer is Arash, an relative unknown. Af-10 specs may be too good to be believed, while others think the new hypercar could be the next big thing. The debate regarding the AF-10's legitimacy causes discussions about the difficulties in implementing such a huge project and the credibleness of small volume hypercar makers in general.

The numbers aren't crazy, but it's the same deal with the Veyron: When it was announced, they were bonkers. And sometimes these damn crazy projects actually turn into something. Fingers crossed for the AF-10!

I saw the prototype at Geneva. The concept isn’t fake. The question, of course, is whether these primitives can scale to production, but I wouldn't throw this out the window.

AF-10 tech is sound. The "Warp Drive" hybrid system is, I think, an innovative one, and Arash has proven before that he sources high quality parts. I do think it’s legit, just taking its time with perfection.

They have been around since 2006 and before they have produced cars. Of course, the AF 10 is definitely pushing boundaries, but that's the point of hypercars. I'm cautiously optimistic.

I've been following Arash for years and while they are not Bugatti or Koenigsegg they have been moving ahead. If the AF-10 is overambitious, I wouldn't mind labeling it "vaporware," but I wouldn't write it off just yet.
