Is the Aprilia Tuono 660’s vibrations as bad as some people say they are?

With the Aprilia Tuono 660’s parallel twin engine creating some buzz, there has been talk of vibrations, with some riders feeling a buzzing at certain RPMs or speeds. Opinions on this topic differ widely, and it’s become a point of contention among owners and potential buyers. They say the vibrations are so strong that they can be uncomfortable on longer rides or at highway speeds, while others say the vibrations are minimal, or no worse than other bikes in its class. The debate involves factors such as handlebar grips, footpeg design, and even personal sensitivity to vibrations. We also talk about whether recent model years have solved this problem. So let’s look at some different takes on the Tuono 660’s vibration and how it affects the ride.

I was concerned about the vibes before I bought mine, but in truth I don't even think about it while riding. It's a non-issue for me

I think that people online exaggerate it. It vibrates, but it’s not a luxury car. It's part of the experience.

You can feel the vibrations but they're not too bad. They give the bike character. If you want buttery smooth, buy an inline four.

Long highway stretches are when the vibrations bother me. In town it's fine, but I wouldn't tour on it.

To me, the Tuono 660 feels like a Cadillac coming from a single cylinder. It's all about perspective.

With better grips and rubber mounted bar ends I solved most of the vibration issues. Now it's smooth sailing.

Above 70mph the mirrors are useless due to vibrations. If you’re used to twin engines, it’s not too bad otherwise.

I think it's overblown. Every bike vibrates to some extent. Apart from anything else, the Tuono 660 isn't any worse than other twins I've ridden.

At around 5-6k RPM, the vibes are real. It’s not a deal breaker, but it does get a bit annoying on longer rides.

On my 2023 model I barely notice any vibrations. They may have improved it or I’m just not sensitive to it.
