Is Kia Ceed really as good as people say it is?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
Kia Ceed has built a reputation for being reliable, being often praised as a sensible option for a reliable car. Is this reputation earned, or is it just good marketing? Some owners go on and on about their Ceeds, and they swear that they’ve had no problems at all, even after years of use. But others say it's decent, but not much more reliable than other brands in its class. The other question is how reliable these cars are as they age – are older models still running strong, or do they start to show their age? Kia's 7 year warranty is often mentioned as a selling point, but is it really a long term reliability factor, or just a safety net if things go wrong early?

I think people get reliability confused with the long warranty. It’s not a guarantee of quality, it’s more of a marketing tool.

It has surprisingly good build quality. Mine has 150,000 miles on it and just routine maintenance.

It’s a reliable car for the first few years, but when you’re out of warranty it’s just like any other car.

I work at a garage and we see far fewer issues with Ceeds than we do with some other brands in the same class.

It's decently reliable but I think the 7 year warranty makes people think it's more reliable than it is.

But they’re good, not miraculous. My friend has had a few electrical niggles on his 2015 model.

It's been rock solid and I've had my Ceed for 5 years now. No unexpected repairs whatsoever.
