Is Bajaj finally getting their quality control act together with the Pulsar F250?
Bajaj has long been accused of poor quality control issues across their motorcycle lineup, from minor fit-and-finish complaint all the way to serious mechanical issues. Many even saw the Pulsar F250 launch as a chance for Bajaj to readdress these long standing concerns. The reviews, to begin with, so far have been a mixed bag, with some praising the improved build quality while some allege typical Bajaj issues. For potential buyers looking at the F250 as their first big bike purchase or those coming from another brand the topic of quality control is a sensitive one. Most of the discussions are about particular components such as switchgear durability, paint quality and long term reliability of the engine and electronics. This is an important debate because the initial purchase decision is just the beginning — long term ownership satisfaction and resale value are at stake.

The improvement in quality is night and day from coming from a Pulsar 220F. Is it perfect? No. It’s a big step forward for Bajaj, but it’s a huge step in the right direction. Give credit where it's due.

It’s better quality, but it’s not up to the level of the Japanese bikes. Having said that, I think the F250 represents good value for the price point. So just be prepared to baby it a little more than you would a Honda or Yamaha.

People are too hard on Bajaj, I think. Every manufacturer has issues. For 10,000 km my F250 has been trouble free. It's not perfect, but it's not the horror stories people like to tell.

I can say as a mechanic, the F250's build quality is a step up. It's better components, and more precise assembly. We will see, how it will stand the hard riding for a year or two.

It's a mixed bag. Overall the fit and finish are definitely better than older Pulsars but I have seen some inconsistencies between bikes at the showroom. It looks like QC is still a hit or miss.

The first quality is not something to be fooled by. After just 3 months, my friends F250 started developing electrical issues. If you ask me, same old Bajaj. There is still a long way to go.

Now, I’ve had my F250 for 6 months, and overall I’m quite impressed with the build quality. No rattles, the paint job looks good and it feels solid. Bajaj seems to have stepped it up.
