In what way does the Bajaj Chetak 3501 perform in extreme weather conditions relative to other EVs?
Extreme weather poses special challenges for electric vehicles, including scooters, like the Bajaj Chetak 3501. Battery performance and life is also affected by high temperatures and cold weather can severely decrease range. This becomes a very crucial factor for a potential buyer in a country having diversified climates like India. Users often talk about how Chetak deals with scorching summer heat, monsoon rains and chilly winter morning as compared to other EVs and traditional petrol scooters. This topic also covers practical issues of everyday usability, battery life over time and whether the Chetak’s design and engineering are well suited to tackle these ecological issues. The scooter's practicality as a year round transportation option depends largely on its performance in different weather.

To be honest, it’s no different from other EVs I’ve tried. Extreme weather is faced by them all.

It's a mixed bag. Okay for a few days, but not for extensive travel in extreme conditions. Keep a backup plan handy.

It seems like the Chetak doesn’t handle cold as well as heat. You will definitely notice a performance dip when temperatures drop below 10°C.

No issues so far. It has been through a scorching summer and held up well. I am curious to see what it does in the upcoming monsoon.

It's okay, but not great. In extreme weather, petrol scooters still have an edge. There is still some work to be done for EVs.

Winter mornings are tough. It's noticeably range drops when it's cold. If only battery heating was included like some car EVs have.

Not too comfortable in heavy rain. I'm worried water damage in the long term, but the battery compartment appears to be well sealed.
