How reliable is Kia Forte when compared with its competitors?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
Many car buyers value reliability and the Kia Forte has a bit of a reputation, or rather debate, for this. Though Kia has done a lot to improve its reliability ratings over the years, some potential buyers still have concerns based on old perceptions, or anecdotal evidence. Forte's reliability has been compared to established players in the compact car segment, say Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. Long term ownership experiences, common problems that can crop up and the value of Kia’s warranty coverage are often discussed. When the Forte is compared to other models of similar size, reliability is assessed based on initial build quality, long term durability and maintenance and repair costs.

What I've seen has been hit or miss. Some people have no problems, and some people seem to have problems all the time. Luck of the draw, maybe?

Mine, I've put 80,000 miles on and only regular maintenance. Not a word about reliability here!

It is a huge plus that it has a 100,000 mile warranty. And if something goes wrong, you're good for a long time.

I think people still judge Kia on the reputation that they had 15 years ago. They’re way better built than the new ones.

My friend had some weird electrical gremlins on his 2019 Forte. It made me nervous about getting one myself.

It’s decent, but c’mon, it’s not going to outlast a Corolla. Of course, the warranty coverage makes a lot of it up.

My Forte is 3 years old now, and it's been rock solid. No issues whatsoever. Kia has really improved themselves.
