How much can the Ashok Leyland Dost Lite LX be customised for specific business requirements?

by Sukhmandeep Kaurover 1 year ago0 views9 comments
Value of a commercial vehicle to a business depends a lot on its versatility. The Dost Lite LX is a product with standard features but many businesses have unique requirements that are not satisfied by an off the shelf solution. What sort of adaptability does this mini truck have to the business needs? Is there an easy way to modify the cargo area for other purposes such as refrigeration, mobile shops, or even for use as a food truck? Are there any official modifications approved by Ashok Leyland, or do owners have to resort to third party solutions? Where can the cab area be modified for better long haul comfort or to fit specific equipment? Next we will see how flexible the Dost Lite LX is and how creative business owners have made it fit their particular operational needs.

Being so small, I had extendable ramps and a winch. It did affect the fuel efficiency a bit but the Dost Lite LX handled the additions well.

Turned it into a mobile clothing store. Racks are displayed by the side panels opening up. For festivals it has been great, but I had to add extra security features, which was a bit of a hassle.

It is for my gardening business. Added a custom long tools rack and a small water tank. It is a back saver when loading heavy plants at a low loading height!

Converted mine for use as a mobile workshop for on site repairs. The flat bed is good for tool storage, but I would want more points to fasten gear at.

I am using it as a mobile pet grooming service. I added a water tank, pump and a small fold out table. The only issue was the suspension was a bit too soft, had to reinforce a bit.

I installed custom shelving units in the back for my courier service. Since the cargo area was of square shape, this was pretty straightforward. Doubled my organizing efficiency!

I tried to convert it into a food truck but the electrical system was not enough for all the equipment I needed. An additional battery and inverter had to be installed.

Mine are used for a mobile coffee shop. The equipment fits perfectly in the payload capacity and I added a fold out counter on the side. The key? He gets a lot of attention at events!

The Dost Lite LX has turned out to be fairly customizable. I changed mine into a mobile library for rural regions. It was easy to install bookshelves and a small awning on the flat bed.
