How does the Aeroride Bravo ride in the rain?

Riding in the rain is a real challenge, and especially on electric bikes, there’s always the fear of water and electronics not going well together. This isn't a bad looking Bravo, but that doesn't necessarily mean it goes well in the wet. When the roads are slick some riders have voiced concerns about traction control and brake performance. The other question is, how well sealed are the electrical components from water ingress. And don’t forget about visibility, how does the Bravo handle gloomy, rainy days with decent lighting? I'd like to hear from riders who've taken this bike out on less than ideal weather. When the heavens open up, how does it compare to other electric bikes, or even traditional motorcycles?

It's hit or miss. It's planted some days, other days it's like riding on ice. I believe tire pressure has a huge impact on wet weather performance.

The Bravo has been pretty confidence inspiring in the rain. It's helped by the low centre of gravity, and the LED lights cut through the gloom really well.

It’s not bad but it’s not great in the wet. You don’t have engine braking, you rely on the actual brakes, which is kind of tricky when it’s slippery.

I don’t like how it plays in the wet. I don’t trust the stock tires at all when it’s raining, and the front end feels a bit vague.

It's a bit touchy in the rain with the brakes. You have to be really gentle with them to not lock up. Takes some getting used to.

The big plus is that the electronics are sealed. I’ve ridden through some deep puddles without trouble. Just wipe it down well after a wet ride.

In fact, I actually feel safer on the Bravo in wet conditions than I did on my old gas bike. Stability seems helped by the weight distribution.

Eh, it's okay. Not great, not terrible. For sure, the tires could use an upgrade for wet. I've had a couple sketchy moments in light rain.

I've ridden the Bravo in some pretty heavy downpours and it's surprisingly good handling. I never felt as though I had lost traction, and the traction control was spot on.
